PAN Communications, a mid-sized, integrated marketing and PR firm, today announced that Degreed has selected the agency for creative storytelling and brand awareness activities. PAN’s London office will spearhead an international PR programme for Degreed, focused on raising awareness of the company’s solutions across the US, EMEA, LATAM and APAC regions.
Degreed is the workforce upskilling platform for more than one in three Fortune 50 companies. It integrates and curates all the resources people use to learn (formal and informal) including courses, videos, articles, books, podcasts and on-the-job learning. Degreed uses behavioral and data science to analyse everyone’s skills, and to automatically personalise career development based on their jobs, strengths, and goals.
PAN’s appointment comes following a successful period of growth for Degreed that saw record demand for its solutions over the last six months, the successful Adepto acquisition, and securing $32 million in new funding. More than one-in-seven Degreed users activated their accounts between April and May 2020. Several new clients — including Ford, Indian paint manufacturer Kansai Nerolac, and South Africa’s Standard Bank — have quickly shifted their workforce strategies to empower remote work and talent mobility during the shutdown.
“Following recent events, we’ve seen accelerated demand from clients looking to increase visibility into workforce skills, enrich their upskilling programs, and improve internal mobility,” said Sarah Danzl, Director, Global PR & Communications at Degreed. “Degreed has never been more relevant and we’re delighted to be working with the PAN team to accelerate Degreed’s global visibility and continue to create learning experiences that empower and upskill individuals.”
“Degreed has pioneered user-focused learning since 2012 and it has never been more important for organizations to fully understand their employees’ skills and give them clear pathways to acquire new ones,” said Gareth Thomas, Managing Director, UK at PAN Communications. “We’re excited to leverage a strong PR strategy to share Degreed’s story and help companies around the world understand how to upskill their teams.”
