At PAN, we’re proud to have a national presence, with offices located in Boston, New York, San Francisco and Orlando. Our culture thrives on having different members of our team venture into new territory and become familiar with new office experiences. That’s why we’re showcasing two of our colleagues, Kate Sena and Cameron Brody, who recently made a big move from the Boston office to the New York Office aka #PANhattan.

As a tribute to their recent move we decided to ask them a few questions about their experience transferring locations.

Kate Sena, Senior Account Executive, New York

PAN:  Where is your current PAN office location and where will you be moving?senior account executive nyc

Kate: I was previously in the PAN Boston office and recently relocated to PANhattan in NYC!

PAN: What prompted you to move locations?

Kate: There were quite a few factors involved. I’m originally from upstate New York and getting married there in a few short months, so being closer to home definitely makes planning easier! Aside from being near our family and friends which is a huge plus, my fiancé traveled down to NYC from his Boston headquarters a few times a month to meet with customers. We eventually realized the travel was becoming more frequent and figured, “Hey, why not?” It makes sense for us and we still get to visit Boston often since both of our company home bases are there!

PAN:  What are you most excited about in terms of your move and being in a new office environment?

Kate: I’m excited to work face-to-face with my NYC team members and be in the center of Manhattan. Not everyone gets to say they work at the Empire State Building!

PAN: What will you miss most about your current office and/or location?

Kate: I already miss my Boston team members and can’t wait to see them the next time I visit. I also absolutely loved our view of the water there.

PAN: What are you excited about in terms of career growth in your new city?

Kate: I’m excited to be part of growing our NYC presence. We’re quickly expanding and it’s great to see it firsthand. I’m also looking forward to working with members of our junior team in the office and guiding them the same way others did for me early on in my career. It’s such a fun and smart group in the NYC office that I know they’ll be teaching me a few things too!

PAN: Where is your current PAN office location and where will you be moving?

Cam: None other than PAN’s HQ in Boston. Definitely the place to be for a crash course on what makes this agency tick. I’ll be relocating to scenic New York City to join the PANhattan family.

PAN: What prompted you to move locations?

Cam: Asked by someone who clearly hasn’t had to field 8 years of, “so when are you moving to New York?” from friends and family. I’m from North Jersey originally but went to Boston University for my undergraduate degree. Boston has been an incredible city to start my career but once I started feeling that urge for change, New York felt like the natural next step. It doesn’t hurt that everyone – my managers, HR, Phil – has been so supportive through the process of relocating. When I tell people how easy and seamless it’s been, I get a lot of surprised faces.

PAN: What are you most excited about in terms of your move and being in a new office environment?

Cam: Being in a new environment on all fronts – both personally and professionally. I’m a big proponent of the idea that new environments force you to think differently and consider new perspectives. There’s no better catalyst for growth than throwing a grenade on your comfort zone. It’s definitely scary, but I could use a good scare.

PAN: What will you miss most about your current office and/or location?

Cam: I know what you’re thinking, but I’m not going to say the people. That’s like saying your favorite band is the Beatles – it’s implied! I’m really going to miss the proximity to how much is going on here. What I mean by that is it can be very easy to feel like your entire PAN experience is your clients, your teams, your friends, etc. But because Boston is the HQ, there’s this window into so much of the business you might not realize is there. The creative brainstorms, the impromptu meetings, there’s always an opportunity to burst your bubble and get a taste of something new.

PAN: What are you excited about in terms of career growth in your new city?

Cam: At least from afar, it’s been very fun watching the PANhattan office spring up basically overnight. I remember visiting the old WeWork space before we officially moved to the Empire State Building (let the record show that VP & GM Ryan Wallace was among the chorus of, “so when are you moving to New York?”). That rapid growth, followed by the media panel the team hosted a few weeks ago – there’s been a really strong coordinated effort to get PAN out there and known within in the NYC community. I’m excited to contribute to that however I can.
