The long-term post-acute care (LTPAC) industry faces a significant challenge with soaring demand amid a rising aging population of baby boomers. This demand creates resource constraints, emphasizing the crucial role of technology to support care delivery. Unlike acute care, LTPAC lacks adequate government support for IT infrastructure. PointClickCare advocates for equitable funding and policy recognition to address these challenges and unlock opportunities in senior care across the U.S. healthcare system.

PAN set out to develop and execute an earned media program to:

  • Enhance senior care portfolio growth and customer value
  • Boost brand credibility, executive visibility, and position PointClickCare executives as industry influencers in government affairs (GA)

Amplifying interoperability, interconnectivity, and the power of advocacy

With a focus on establishing and expanding PointClickCare’s advocacy work in government affairs, PAN continued to form relationships with trade media covering healthcare policy and technology trends to insert PointClickCare’s POVs around Health IT incentives for senior care and the importance of engaging external stakeholders to accomplish a more connected ecosystem. PAN developed thoughtful, strategic content that demonstrated the importance of bringing awareness to the LTPAC industry through different mediums, including blogs, executive social podcasts, and video.

PAN’s multi-channel campaign spanned earned media and thought leadership to cement PointClickcare’s position on more equitable and robust health IT incentives for senior care and long-term care. As market forces continue to shape the care ecosystem in the form of legislative policy and regulatory developments, PAN helped bring attention to the company’s broader efforts in senior care to help this segment continue to innovate for the future: 

  • 6 media interviews, 10 pieces of earned, highly strategic, and niche LTPAC trade media coverage featuring PointClickCare SMEs 
  • 5 blogs, 2 owned podcast episodes, 1 press release, 1 winning speaking application, and 1 PAN-produced video that supported an SME’s application for a board seat with one of the top senior care trade associations, American Health Care Association. This was an important win to continue PointClickCare’s commitment to advocating on behalf of LTPAC owners and operators in front of government entities.
