PAN Southeast Gives Back

In late 2017, we launched PANcares – our corporate philanthropy program, where we partner with nonprofit organizations focused on youth homelessness across the locations of our PAN offices. In PAN Southeast, we have been incredibly fortunate to partner with Covenant House Florida, offering pro bono public relations services to elevate their name in the community – showcasing the initiatives this nonprofit has put in place to help combat youth homelessness in Orlando.

During our partnership with Covenant House Florida, we have provided council and PR services to assist them as they continue to grow. From human trafficking roundtable discussions at the White House to various ongoing capital improvement projects and government grants, we’re grateful to support Covenant House Florida as they make a strong impact in our communities.

One of the most exciting events that we are able to assist with is Covenant House Florida’s Executive Sleep Out. This is an annual event where local executives “sleep out” for a night to experience a night of homelessness and promote awareness all while raising critical funds. The funds raised allow Covenant House Florida to offer safety, shelter and support to homeless youth 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Additionally, another great initiative of the PANcares program has been the opportunity to get involved in the cause directly by volunteering within the community. From Covenant House Florida’s “Back-to-School” bash, a fun back-to-school shopping experience, to resume workshops and Tea with Teens, a “tea party” event that allows members of the community to come chat with the youth, our office is honored and humbled to be able to participate in such impactful events.

We are grateful for the opportunity to continue to build a strong partnership between PAN and Covenant House Florida. Our Orlando program, led by PAN Senior Media Relations Specialist Kellie Woods, looks forward to continuing to serve this community and partner on future initiatives with the organization.

“For a nonprofit agency, it is a blessing to come across a community partner that is willing to donate their time and talents to further the agency’s mission and impact the population they serve,” said Maria Shorkey, associate executive director, Covenant House Florida. “However, to come across a partner that embodies so perfectly your agency’s mission and philosophy of care is truly a rare gift! We are marveled by the synergy that the team from PAN Communications has created with our agency, improving the quality of our programs and offering hope to our homeless youth.”
