Award-Winning PR Firm PAN Communications Boosts Healthcare Practice

PAN Communications, a public relations and digital media leader driving communications strategy for technology, consumer and healthcare industries, announced that the firm has added five new accounts to its healthcare portfolio in the first half of 2013, strengthening the already well-established clientele.

The new clients include:

  • Linkwell Health (Needham, Mass.) – A consumer engagement company that inspires healthier choices through an exceptional combination of content and coupons.
  • Vecna (Cambridge, Mass.) – A developer of advanced technologies in the healthcare space to improve the patient experience.
  • Quanterix (Lexington, Mass.) – Leader in high definition diagnostics, delivering ultrasensitive single molecule measurements for the benefit of human health.
  • Nantucket Cottage Hospital (Nantucket, Mass.) – An affiliate of Massachusetts General Hospital and member of Partners Healthcare, the hospital serves an island community 30 miles at sea.

Alegeus Technologies was a major win for PAN.  Building on its leadership position in the consumer directed healthcare space; Alegeus recently announced a strategic acquisition and introduced a new private exchange platform.  As the healthcare consumerism trend continues, employer-sponsored healthcare is shifting from its traditional ‘defined benefits’ approach to a ‘defined contribution’ model – similar to the shift in retirement benefits from traditional pensions to 401K. Alegeus is enabling this shift, providing solutions to health plans, third party administrators and brokers to support this new defined contribution trend, which is being accelerated by healthcare reform and the resulting interest in public and private exchanges.

The PAN Healthcare portfolio has recently noted other accomplishments.  PAN just celebrated a one-year anniversary with client, athenahealth, a top provider of cloud-based services for EHR, practice management, and care coordination. The athena team was awarded a Gold Bell Ringer PR award for their results on the account.
