Achieving a Best Place to Work Culture

PAN Communications

PAN Communications has once again been named a Best Place to Work by the Orlando Business Journal!

The recognition is a true honor and a testament to our team that works so hard each day to create a vibrant office culture while also delivering stellar results for our clients. Employee engagement is not something we take lightly at PAN. Every individual that walks through our doors, day-in and day-out, has become a key piece of the PAN culture.

As a Vice President and General Manager at PAN, I’ve had the honor to see the PAN SE office recognized by this employee-voted award for the past several years. In reflecting over each Best Place to Work achievement, one thing remains constant: we never lose sight of our employees’ tremendous value and the vast knowledge that they bring to the table. It’s something that is both celebrated, and nurtured. As I think further about what makes PAN a Best Place to Work, a few things come to mind.

best place to work orlando Our team gives their all to their clients, and PAN gives its all to furthering each employee’s professional development. This is clearly reinforced with our dedicated career coach program. Everyone is assigned a senior-level mentor that works to ensure they are receiving the appropriate training and guidance to meet professional goals. Ultimately, the career coach program is designed to set all employees up for success and identify any additional tools or development sessions that may be beneficial.

We value teamwork, and there is no better way to build team morale than giving back. Our PAN SE team values being able to give back to our community and it’s a philosophy that is supported all the way from the corner office. In addition to being granted time off to volunteer, PAN also has its own philanthropic committee that works closely with local organizations. In PAN SE’s case, it’s the Covenant House Florida, one of the largest private agencies serving runaway and homeless youth in the state of Florida. On a regular basis, our team is volunteering at résumé workshops or participating in back to school drives. For several years, our relationship with this tremendous organization has fostered a culture of giving back.

We respect hard work, but our mission is to achieve a work/life balance. PAN goes the extra mile to ensure that each employee is able to unplug and enjoy time away from their email. From our generous vacation policy to our dedicated PANfit programs, employees are encouraged to take time to unwind. For the PAN SE crew, this traditionally means participating in a group yoga session at Yoga Mix or taking advantage of Summer Fridays and heading to the local beaches. In the end, stepping away means that we are constantly delivering fresh and innovative concepts to our client base.

It’s humbling to once again achieve this recognition, but don’t just take my word on what makes PAN a Best Place to Work. Below are a few thoughts from our very own PAN SE crew:

“Whether it’s a brainstorm around a new client, going to yoga after work to unwind or taking a few minutes to just ask how someone’s day is going, I feel lucky to be part of PAN’s Orlando office. I’m constantly inspired by those around me and the drive to deliver quality results for clients while always making sure to have fun along the way. It’s been five great years at PAN, and I can’t wait for the next five with this group!” – Sydney Holmquist, Account Supervisor

“Since I started as an intern at PAN one year ago, the Orlando office has felt like home to me. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to begin my career and grow as a PR professional. I’m so lucky to work with such talented and amazing people!” – Brittany Bell, Account Executive

“The PAN Southeast office is a group of truly amazing individuals managed by strong, passionate leaders. Everyone here is so willing to help and collaborate with a smile on their face – no matter how busy their day might be. I’m proud to work in such a fun, positive office and am not surprised we’ve ranked in the Orlando Business Journal’s Best Places to Work six years in a row!” Kirsten Ashton, Senior Account Executive
