BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS – JUNE 23, 2015 – PAN Communications, a prominent mid-size PR, digital media and content marketing agency,  has received industry recognition from the American Business Awards and the Boston Business Journal. Just this week, PAN was recognized with a Silver Stevie® Award in the Company of the Year – Advertising, Marketing & Public Relations category in The 13th Annual American Business Awards in Chicago. This comes on the heels of Boston Business Journal’s recognition of PAN Communications as one of the Best Places to Work in Massachusetts in its twelve annual regional awards program.

The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” the awards were presented to winners during a gala banquet on Monday, June 22 at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park Hotel. More than 3,300 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration. PAN Communications was nominated in the Advertising, Marketing & Public Relations categories for Company of the Year.

PAN Communications 2014 was unlike any year in their 20-year history; it was their most successful year, ever.  The agency saw its revenue, profitability and organic growth jump, while winning many new clients.

PAN cites changes in their structure and approach as responsible in contributing to their competitive success. Accordingly, the team assessed its approach and set out to re-invent itself and its client work. The benefits of the “changes” are underscored in the growth realized in 2014 and continue to experience. Highlights include:

  • A renewed commitment to hire the very best talent and empower employees to achieve their best through continued training and development programs
  • A culture that fosters work/life balance through our PANFIT program and flexible work schedules
  • A dedicated PANdigital team with expertise in integrated brand communications across all media (earned, owned shared, paid)
  • Enhanced business development and marketing efforts, including thought leadership and network
  • A huge shift to a dedicated staffing model that better aligns to our skillset to programs, services and client expectations

Just a few weeks prior to winning the Silver Stevie® for Company of the Year, The Boston Business Journal named PAN Communications one of the Best Places to Work in Massachusetts in its twelfth annual regional awards program. The honor recognizes PAN’s achievements in creating a positive work environment that attracts and retains employees through a combination of employee satisfaction, working conditions and company culture.

“Our Best Places to Work event will again recognize the importance of cultivating a great workplace culture as a competitive advantage,” said Gale Murray, publisher of the Boston Business Journal. “Companies on our list can be justifiably proud of creating a high level of workplace satisfaction during an economy where traditional rewards like big raises and bonuses aren’t as easy to give. In good times and in bad, our results validate how the creation of the right corporate culture can create powerful business advantages. Employees are proud to work for companies that are about more than just business.”

PAN Communications was one of over 400 companies to qualify for consideration based on a two-stage nomination process and the results of employee-satisfaction surveys taken throughout March & April.

“We couldn’t be happier to be recognized both nationally and regionally by the ABA and the BBJ,” said Philip A. Nardone, Jr., president and founder of PAN Communications. “Our work hard, play hard attitude here at the firm contributes to our ongoing success. Our ever-evolving industry and clients challenge us to be the best we can be every day. I’m proud of our staff for their dedication and collaboration to produce the culture that exists at PAN, and look forward to a great year together.”
