Benefits Spotlight: PANfit

PAN Communications

Our staff’s health and wellness are top priorities at PAN. As part of the PAN Ambassadors and Culture Team, we have a great program and benefit, PANfit. This employee-driven committee across our four offices brainstorms, plans and executes events and activities in the name of PANfit. Whether it’s bringing in mediation specialists or organizing weekly runs, the PANfit team is always thinking of ways to improve the work/life balance of our staff and encourage wellness. Each Friday, PANFit shares tips and tricks that have been submitted by employees, for employees, in order to encourage a healthy lifestyle.

59% of employees say that health and wellness benefits are important for increasing loyalty to their employer. (MetLife)

As part of the Benefits Spotlight, we sat down with PANfit lead, account supervisor, Hannah Curtis in our Boston office to provide further insights, and here’s what she had to say:

Tell me your favorite part of leading PANfit:

Easily my favorite part of leading PANfit is the people. I love collaborating with people who I don’t regularly work with (or see for those who are cross-office). On top of that, it is another awesome way that I get to mix some of my passions of health and wellness with work. Whether it is organizing a mediation class, a weekly run or a spin class, it is fun to plan things that our entire agency can benefit from (and enjoy).

What are some examples of the events and activities you’ve held across the four offices?

We try to have a holistic approach to PANfit. We know not everyone is a runner, yogi or gym rat, so we brainstorm and plan ideas that focus on different parts of fitness – mind, body and soul. This is everything from having a nutritionist come into our office and discuss meal prep and hold 1:1 meetings, or having a meditation session mid-work week, or taking a bootcamp class together.

How can employees get involved in PANfit?

If employees are interested in getting involved, they can reach out to me directly or try our PANfit email alias.

What’s been your favorite activity for the group?

One of my favorite activities are our weekly PANfit runs. As a pseudo-runner, I love having an organized group to run with on a weekly basis. It is also a fun social hour and a great place to meet people you don’t interact with every day.

What’s upcoming for PANfit for the rest of 2018?

There are lots of exciting things coming up for PANfit including organized 5K races (like the one we did for the Corporate Challenge in Orlando), outdoor fitness classes, a run and walk club beginning again in the fall, and much more!

We’re ready to move.
