Program Overview
PAN and North Carolina A&T, North Carolina Central, and Dillard Universities have partnered academically through the PAN Portal, an ePortfolio mentorship program for graduating communications seniors. We are thrilled to offer two students from these universities a summer internship working with our Public Relations team.
PAN's Summer Internship Program is a comprehensive 10-week program designed to introduce students to agency life through a variety of client relations experiences. Over the course of the program, students will gain a greater understanding of what it's like to work in a fast-paced PR agency, how the business operates, and how we service our clients. Students will be paired with a career coach, who they will report to for supervisory purposes, and a dedicated mentor who started their career in an entry level role with PAN.
This program is available to students in their undergraduate senior year who are currently pursuing their bachelor’s degree in the Communications or Journalism fields or to rising seniors who will be completing their degree within the next year. We are looking for independent, self-starters who are curious, proactive, responsible, and open to constructive feedback. Successful applicants will be digitally savvy, able to think on his/her/their feet and have excellent communication and time management skills. Recommended experience, though not required, will include maintaining brand social profiles, a variety of writing experience (i.e., blogs, press releases, etc.), and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
Role & Responsibilities
Each of PAN’s student interns will receive weekly trainings and complete a variety of PR projects for several of PAN's clients over the course of their 10 weeks. The interns’ core responsibilities will include:
