The phrase "blood is thicker than water" rings true at PAN with brothers Phil and Mark at the helm. The duo has worked together for more than a decade, since their days at Rourke & Company (now Manning, Selvage & Lee). At PAN, they’ve worked side by side, building and leading the agency, since shortly after the firm’s beginning in 1995.

"We’ve never promoted the fact that Mark and I are brothers," said Phil. "But, I truly believe that the family ties strengthen this firm. From the time that Mark and I shared a bedroom, we’ve had a strong bond and have looked out for each other. I know that we will continue to do so forever."
"I believe a true partnership, in any company, comes from an honest understanding and embracement of the very person you are tasked with succeeding with. It’s about relying on each other—without question. Understanding each other’s perspective, however different, and respecting and embracing that difference is critical. It’s about trust—in life, in business, and in daily interactions.
"Every day, Mark and I converge in a synergy of ideas, respect, trust, and true reliance. We do not compete, we complement. We recognize each other's strengths and play to them, much like we do with our staff. We have a mutual respect and an unquestionable trust in each other. I truly could not imagine doing this without him."
"While we respect the balance and boundaries of our work/family relationship, it definitely works to our advantage," added Mark. "We seek out each other’s counsel on issues affecting both PAN and our families. On any given day, you can find me in Phil’s office discussing a client challenge that we resolved or talking about my son’s upcoming basketball game."
"Ours is a true partnership—born of brothers, turned into friendship, trust, respect, and a genuine desire to engage each other everyday. We know that as individuals we are strong and competent, but as a team, we're unmatched in our field," said Phil.
Overall, there’s a mutual respect and admiration for each other that transcends the typical business partner relationship. In a time when other agencies are selling out to large conglomerates or breaking apart from their founders, PAN continues to thrive under the Nardone brothers’ leadership. Their relationship is the special sauce that holds PAN together and ensures the firm’s continued success and independence.
