PAN was tasked with increasing Visitar’s visibility to its primary audience, the crowded SMB space. To add to the challenge, Visitar’s market is dominated by entrenched, well-known competitors.

The Approach

In addition to core media outreach to the SMB and channel-focused media outlets, PAN is always looking for ways to extend Visitar’s reach. The PAN team learned that widely-read PC Magazine was conducting its first ever SMB 20 Awards honoring the most technologically innovative small and medium sized businesses of the year. The team worked with Visitar to identify and interview a Visitar customer that met all of the entry requirements.

The customer, a provider of web-based Medicaid billing services to school systems, was chosen based on its unique offering and deep implementation of Visitar’s viaVisitar solution. PAN then drafted the award entry and coordinated the submission process on behalf of the customer. The entry was written specifically to highlight the benefits the customer had realized by implementing the Visitar solution across its entire business, enabling the company to provide an increased level of service to its own customer base.

Throughout the process, PAN remained in close contact with the PC Magazine award committee and reporters, Visitar, and its customer, coordinating follow-up interviews, photo submissions, and requests for additional information.

The Results

Visitar and its customer were selected as a winner in PC Magazine’s first annual SMB awards program. PAN drafted and distributed a press release on behalf of the customer, and is working with the PC Magazine staff to identify additional ways both Visitar and its customer can leverage the win. This may include magazine reprints for the sales force, logo usage on collateral, etc.
