Last week was an unbelievable experience for me.
When I created PAN 15 years ago, I dreamed of it becoming a mid-size firm in Boston. Well today, I can happily say that my dream has become a reality. Today marks the first day of PAN’s next chapter — in our new location at 255 State St., Boston.
On Thursday evening we said good-bye in PAN style to 15 years in Andover. It was our final PAN Pub at Brickstone Square and of course I got emotional. And, as anyone who knows me would have guessed, it took seven minutes (thanks to VP Jason Ouellette who had “timed how long it would take”) before I couldn’t speak! This dream couldn’t have become a reality clearly without the people who have joined and made PAN what it is today. From Mark joining in year one, to Jennifer in year two and to all those who have been part of our company over the past 15 years, they truly have made PAN what it is today.
On Friday, we let our clients know that we’d be unpacking boxes and getting acclimated to our new office space. Of course I found the time to share a few more words of wisdom. This time no tears, only positive energy and excitement for the future. I asked my staff to channel all of their passion and excitement into delivering the best client service and help define PAN as the BEST firm for traditional and digital public relations!
This next chapter in Boston puts PAN smack in the center of the hub of our industry. Not only will clients find it easier to come into our offices for meetings but our employees will enjoy being close to friends, events and even their favorite watering holes.
Our new space is built on the spirit of collaboration. From our open environment that allows for impromptu meetings to the meeting rooms with state of the art technology, our teams will have the ability to edit in real-time with each other while surfing the web for the latest trends and talking with clients. This is an exciting time for PAN.
It was sad to leave our roots of Andover, Mass., however, I know that PAN will be a better, stronger firm and a more vibrant agency. If the expressions on people’s faces today are any indication of what’s to happen in the years to come, I say get ready for the new PAN — it’ll blow you away!!!!
Here’s to the next 15 years!
