PixelMEDIA

High-profile byline features have differentiated and driven leads for a Web, multimedia, and IT agency.

PixelMEDIA, Inc. headquartered in Portsmouth, NH, provides strategy, design, and implementation services for Web, multimedia and IT initiatives.

Founded in 1994, PixelMEDIA's goal is to help customers increase revenue opportunities and decrease costs by providing web strategy, design and implementation services that leverage both proven and emerging technologies. They looked to PAN Communications to help them communicate those messages and elevate the company's image to reflect something more that "just another Web design company."

"The team at PAN created the visibility that PixelMEDIA was looking for and positioned the company as a clear leader in the industry. In fact, after placement of one byline on the topic of user interface, we received multiple calls about the service referencing that the prospect had heard about PixelMEDIA after reading the article."

The Challenge

In late 2002, PixelMEDIA wanted to increase its visibility across a number of different vertical markets and position the company as a "one stop shop" for web strategy and design. PixelMEDIA believed that in order to continue prospering in a down economy it was important for prospects to understand their high level of expertise in multiple areas of web, multimedia and IT initiatives. The team at PAN along with executives from PixelMEDIA decided that the best way to achieve this visibility was to create a industry influencer program, focusing our efforts on securing bylined articles within the five vertical markets in which we were looking to create some buzz.

The Approach

Every industry has its own unique issues concerning web strategies. The team at PAN was charged with creating byline ideas that would address real business problems while showcasing PixelMEDIA's industry specific knowledge. During this time most companies were shying away from committing to the extra expense of improving their web strategies no matter how badly they needed it. PixelMEDIA needed to show the value in embarking on such endeavors and how it would have a positive impact on a company's bottom line. In order to further validate PixelMEDIA's credibility as thought leaders, these articles needed to provide a forum within which readers could learn about "best practices" concerning web strategy and design and a better understanding of how to increase ROI through new web initiatives.

The Results

To date, PAN has secured several high profile bylined articles in vertical trade publications specific to PixelMEDIA's areas of focus and expertise. The byline program successfully showcased PixelMEDIA and its executives as thought leaders in the industry with a clear handle on the issues at hand. More importantly, these articles also produced solid sales leads for PixelMEDIA.
