PAN Communications Celebrates Agency Milestones while Strengthening Client Base across Practice Areas

BOSTON – August 27, 2014PAN Communications, an integrated public relations, content marketing  and digital media agency for the technology, consumer and healthcare industries, marked the second quarter of 2014 with continued agency momentum, an expanded client portfolio, current client successes and agency awards.

“We’ve met or surpassed all company goals set for the first half of the year,” said Philip A. Nardone, Jr., president of PAN Communications. “2014 is our year!  I’m confident we will continue to raise the bar, with the end goal always being client satisfaction through result-driven programs.  The second half of 2014 is primed for continued growth as we align our digital and creative services to support our clients’ needs for visual storytelling.”

Agency Successes

Recent client wins complement existing social business expertise while adding to the agency’s security and public safety experience. A few new clients of interest include:

  • Falcon Social – an internationally recognized enterprise social media management company.  Their unified platform helps employees listen, engage, publish, measure and manage channels. The client utilizes PAN’s expertise in enterprise and cloud technology and global networking.
  • 908 Devices – a pioneer of purpose-built analytical devices for chemical analysis, 908 Devices is the first to introduce mass spectrometry in a truly portable, handheld form factor bringing gold standard laboratory out of the lab and into the field.  After the launch of their flagship product, M908, the client utilizes PAN’s expertise to expand into new markets such as life sciences while highlighting recent company momentum.
Customer Experience and “PANniversaries”

In addition to the new business effort, the Boston-based PR firm also experienced several clients celebrating their one year anniversary mark. For example, Mendix brought on PAN Communications in Q2 2013 to tell the company’s story – to articulate its business value, explain its no-code approach and highlight its rapid growth. PAN’s focused media relations program over the past year has established Mendix as a “disruptor” in the technology landscape, showcasing its CEO as a thought leader in the business press and placing Mendix customers in high-level IT publications.  The firm just recently announced a $25M series B round of funding led by Battery Ventures, with participation from existing investor Prime Ventures.

Additionally, PAN healthcare client Alegeus Technologies looked to PAN over the past year to highlight their involvement in modifying the “use-it-or-lose-it” provision on flexible spending accounts (FSAs). Alegeus spent four years on the front lines of Washington, DC, lobbying federal policymakers to overturn the provision and saw success on October 31, 2013 – just in time for health plan open enrollment. PAN shaped the conversation around this legislation, positioning Alegeus as an important thought leader on the topic. The team secured coverage in mainstream outlets that were breaking the FSA ruling news, such as USA Today, Reuters, Fox Business, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, as well as key industry trade outlets.

Awards and Recognition

In June, PAN was recognized with 13 Bell Ringer Awards from the Publicity Club of New England.  A variety of consumer and technology PR campaigns were awarded gold, silver and bronze status for outstanding results. As a reward for the successful momentum of the quarter, PAN treated the entire company to a Boston Red Sox outing as a show of appreciation for their hard work and dedication.

Cultural Development

Boasting five new hires in Q2, the PAN human resources department planned team-building and “PANfit” wellness activities to further bolster its positive culture. Wellness program elements included an in-house massage day and health coach visit, as well as a local tennis tournament to kick off the summer.

PANU, the firm’s training and development program, continues to be a pillar for PAN Communications, and a guest from the Boston Business Journal was brought in for an informative session.  Additionally, Nardone held small group breakfast sessions with respective staff levels to gain direct feedback and solidify the family-style and transparent nature of the company.  These Breakfasts with The President have become a hallmark to Nardone’s management style and to the firm.
