Director of Digital Strategy

Lauren Iacono, Director of Digital Strategy, is an award-winning television producer with significant background in strategic communications. Prior to joining PAN Communications, Lauren served as the Associate Vice President of Digital Communications and Media Services at Rasky Baerlein Strategic Communications, where she was responsible for directing social media and video production efforts for the agency and its clients.

Prior to that, Lauren founded and operated Lola Productions, Inc., a full-service television production company that developed and produced documentaries and features for a variety of corporate and cable network clients. Earlier in her career, Lauren spent eight years with ESPN, the leading multinational, multimedia sports entertainment company. While there she wrote and produced long-form features and specials focusing on professional and college sports and produced live events. Her work earned her numerous honors including an Emmy Award for her role in the 2005 broadcast of the NBA Draft.

Lauren is a graduate of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

I would say that Twitter and my RSS feed reader are what keep me most informed, since the list of online news outlets and blogs I follow seems to grow every day.

Perspective on Social Media:

It’s all about strategy. You can employ every tool under the sun but if you don’t have a well developed strategy based on measurable goals in place, you’re wasting your time.
