Life At PAN

We’re in the business of communication. And life at PAN reflects that. In a culture that promotes creativity. An atmosphere that thrives on collaboration. An entrepreneurial approach that attracts interesting clients and keeps us buzzing. We work hard, but we play hard too. And why all the awards? Because we believe it’s important to recognize accomplishments. After all, it wouldn’t be PAN without them.

PANtastic Award

Overall, external recognition validates our hard work. But day to day, we know that we make our clients shine because individuals go the extra mile.

The PANtastic Award recognizes that extra effort. At each staff meeting, the current award recipient passes on the trophy – a frying pan decorated in the PAN colors – to a new winner that they caught going that extra mile.

Adam Novak

This week's winner

Adam Novak proved he is PANtastic and a pleasure to work with.  He takes on a lot from client work to digital media to assisting Phil’s class at Syracuse, all with an outstanding attitude.

PANdamonium Award

Each of us has day-to-day responsibilities we need to fulfill. But when an employee goes above and beyond, there’s something to be said for that – and PAN recognizes those efforts.

At each staff meeting, PAN Senior Account Managers and Account Managers honor an employee who exemplifies dedication, hard work and overall excellence across all of their accounts. They are awarded with the coveted PANdamonium Award: a life size Panda bear (aptly named: Pan D. Monium)! The panda – sitting proudly in someone’s workstation – reminds each winner of their strong PR skills, exemplary work ethic, consistent client results and always putting their team first.

Nicole Shepard

This week's winner

The PANdamonium award was given to Nicole this week.  She is consistently securing media opportunities and coverage for consumer clients, and has taken on additional responsibilities lately, including some pro-bono work!  Wow!

Speaking Awards Success

Speaking Opportunities are an important element of our core public relations activities.

Because many speaking events take place once-a-year, speakers must be confirmed well in advance, opportunities are very limited and competition is fierce. Client placement at a speaking event is always an accomplishment that we like to recognize! Each month, PAN’s management team gives out the Speaking Award Success (SAS), recognizing an employee who has gone above and beyond to get their client secured at an industry speaking event.

Caitlyn Keating

This week's winner

Caitlyn was recognized for her “Speaking Award Success”, as she secured a keynote speaking position for her client  at the influential QR World Expo 2013.  Congratulations!

Hit Of The Week

Things can get very competitive in a mid-sized agency and this coveted award is highly anticipated at each staff meeting.

At each staff meeting, the PAN senior team presents the Hit of the Week award – a mini baseball bat. After all, what top notch firm wouldn’t recognize an outstanding media hit? A lot of fantastic coverage comes out of the agency every day, but only one employee can walk away with the Hit of the Week!

Marki Conway

This week's winner

Marki worked with Novell through a major product launch, helping the team secure 22 hits!  Her shining star was a positive piece on All Things D, secured after she accompanied the client to an in-person meeting with the author.

Leadership Award

PAN leaders are true mentors who help our employees navigate their current roles and advance to the next career level.

Each day, PAN employees look up to their superiors for guidance and education. The recipient of the PAN Leadership Award – an engraved trophy of a rising star- is chosen by our Junior Associates, Associates and Senior Associates and is given at each staff meeting to a Vice President, Director, Senior Account Manager or Account Manager who exemplifies stellar and exemplary leadership in each and every way, day in and day out. This award reminds our leaders that their hard work and contributions to making our agency an amazing place to work don’t go unnoticed.

Elizabeth Famiglietti

This week's winner

This week’s PAN Leadership award was given to Elizabeth.  She goes beyond the role of a traditional HR exec, taking the time to meet and get to know employees.  Her hard work paid off on the BBJ Best Places to Work recognition!  Way to go!

Blogger Award

Blogging and social media are increasingly important PR elements in today’s word.

The Blogger award is given monthly at PAN’s staff meeting by the Social Media Committee to the top blog with the most traffic that month.

Phil Nardone

This week's winner

Phil had TWO outstanding blog posts last month.  In addition to running the agency, Phil is a professor at Syracuse.  The students and Phil created a ”Meet Philip A. Nardone, Jr.” post, which pulled a lot of viewers to our blog.  Impressive!
